Paintwork

The art of quality painting

A perfectly painted room is not only pleasing to the eye, but also protects and beautifies the surface below. Painting goes beyond just applying a colour; it is a craft that requires expertise, precision and knowledge of materials.

HOW LONG SHOULD YOU WAIT BEFORE PAINTING AFTER APPLYING STUCCO?

It is crucial to allow walls to dry thoroughly before you start painting. Drying time varies based on thickness, conditions and materials used. As a rule of thumb, you should allow 1-2 days of drying time for every millimetre of plaster. So a layer of 2 millimetres would require 2-4 days. Always check the stucco is completely dry before painting to avoid problems such as paint peeling.

CHOICE BETWEEN PAINTING OR WALLPAPERING?

Painting and wallpapering both have their own advantages and disadvantages, depending on the situation and personal preferences. A major advantage of painting is its speed and simplicity. Painting offers a sleek, modern look and is relatively easy to touch up or change colour. Moreover, paint is generally cheaper than wallpaper. Wallpapering, on the other hand, offers a wide variety of patterns and textures, which can create a unique and striking effect in the room.

Ultimately, the choice is personal, based on taste, budget and the desired appearance of the room.
